Warriors Confession - Pete Hillman I have turned against you and against my brothers in arms, Through the wrong thoughts I have had, Through the foul words that have spilt from my mouth, And through the underhand things I have done in the darkness of the shadows. I have abandoned my responsibilities to watch over and protect the weak and the powerless, I have showed cowardice in the face of the enemy’s onslaught, And worse still I have committed intentional acts of treason and betrayal. I throw myself on your mercy and turn back to you again, my Lord. For the sake of my Captain, The Lord Jesus Christ, who sacrificed his life for me, Forgive my wrongdoing and grant that I may once again take my place in the shield wall of the legion of heaven with strength and honour though it cost me the last drop of my lifeblood. To the glory of your name. Amen  In the name of the One whose blood bought your freedom and forgiveness, Arise forgiven and free of any shame. You are restored to your former place as a son of the Most High. Now carry his honour into the battle for this world and his Kingdom full of the Spirit, his power and strength. Fight valiantly against sin, the world and the devil, And stand your ground shoulder to shoulder with your sword-brothers to the very end! Doing battle in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen Cleansing Ritual  I cleanse you head for your mind is to be Holy as your God is Holy. I cleanse your eyes for I know you would see your Lord. I cleanse your ears for I know you wish to hear the voice of the living God. I cleanse your lips for you are a man of unclean lips and your eyes have seen the King. I cleanse your heart for you would have a heart that beats purely for Jesus. I cleanse your feet, for you stand on Holy ground. I have served you as your brother in Christ and as servant of the servants of God. |
